About

who we are
I am Melissa! Wife to David, mother to Hadley, Amelia and one angel baby. We met at Washington State University and were married in 2014; Hadley was born four months later. Fast forward to now--after a few pregnancies, three different homes, five cities--we have settled in the Inland Northwest, where David works as an engineer and I stay at home with the girls. We love music: we both play multiple instruments and I lead worship at our church. We love nature: hikes, forest bathing, gardening and breathing fresh air. We love education: we are both constantly learning and researching something that we have been fixated on or passionate about and we plan on homeschooling our children. We love food. I mean, who doesn't?! So come on over and I'll cook you up a yummy plant-based dinner, which--contrary to misconceptions about veganism--I promise you is not bland.

what we believe

We are imperfect people to our core--spiritual beings having a human experience. We believe in all things being interconnected. We see holy in the mystery. We believe in the third way--the way of Shalom, that is, the way of The Christ--turning the other cheek, living humbly and mercifully, existing free of violence, loving your enemy.
Radical peace, radical love, radical empathy.

These are bits and pieces of our journey through this beautiful, messy, magical life. We are so glad you're here!
